Utilization of carbon dioxide in power engineering

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of carbon dioxide as a source of energy in the form of carbonaceous fuels. The first part describes the possibilities of carbon dioxide capture and its subsequent storage. The second part is dedicated to the conversion of carbon dioxide to carbonaceous fuels. In the third and final part of the thesis, these fuels are then evaluated for their utilization and compared with commonly used fuels.
Remediation of groundwater contaminated by oil products

This bachelor thesis describes rehabilitation of groundwater which is contaminated with oil products. The first part describes methods of collecting groundwater from the sources together with forms possibilities and properties of groundwater pollution and characteristics of pollutants. In addition, oil substances and their properties are described, followed by methods of groundwater protection and liquidation of accidents. At the end of the first part, ways of remediation of contaminated groundwater are presented. The second part of the thesis contains an overview of companies that carry out remediation work and description of their solution technologies.
Synthesis of tricyclic hydrocarbon derivatives

This bachelor thesis deals with the preparation of enantiopure Binol-derived phosphoric acids with different substituents at the 3,3'-position, which are typically used as Brønsted acids in enantioselective non-covalent organocatalysis. The prepared 3,3'-adamantane substituted Binol-derived phosphoric acids are planned to be used as organocatalysts. Bulky alkyl substituents at the 3,3' position have been introduced in order to compare their properties with those of phenyl substituents at the 3,3' position. The different dispersion forces between substrate and catalyst are expected when aryl and alkyl substituents are incorporated into the catalyst structure. New Methods in Sesimic Survey

The objective of this thesis is seismic survey, namely brief summary of a few selected new methods and technological modifications used in seismic survey of hydrocarbon deposits. The work focuses on a cable-free land seismic system, using optical fibre as acoustic sensors, technical improvements of vibrating units in Vibroseis technology and ocean bottom seismic while using VectorSeis Ocean technology. Geochemical, mineralogical and stable isotopes aspects of natural attenuation processes of petroleum hydrocarbons

Barbora Topinková Praha, 2010 2 Lokalita Hněvice leží cca 50 km SZ od Prahy, v blízkosti Roudnice nad Labem. Od r. 1943 se tu nachází velkosklad pohonných hmot, který díky havarijním únikům skladovaných motorových olejů, leteckého benzínu a nafty způsobil ve studovaném území rozsáhlou ekologickou zátěž. Kontaminace lokality má směsný charakter a kromě BTEX je tvořena směsí dalších aromatických uhlovodíků, především trimethylbenzenem a ethyltoluenem. Kontaminační mrak o rozloze cca 0,7 km2 je vázán na kvartérní štěrkopískový kolektor a koncentrace ropných uhlovodíků zde dosahuje až 9 mg/l a 8 800mg/kg. Vzhledem k povaze kontaminantu (LNAPL's) se nejvýznamnější podíl znečištění nachází ve svrchní části kolektoru při hladině podzemní vody a cca 2 m pod ní a směrem k bázi kolektoru klesá koncentrace ropných uhlovodíků až k pozaďovým hodnotám. Zájmová část lokality Hněvice studovaná v rámci této disertační práce a mezinárodního projektu CORONA byla vzhledem k ostatním podobným studiím provedeným na jiných lokalitách ve světě (např.
